Collection: Base Oils & Specialty Oils

Base oils & specialty oils are the diluted forms of essential oils and absolute oils. These are majorly used in the manufacturing of cosmetics and skincare products. Base oils are also called carrier oils as they supply several major vitamins and acids to the skin.

Essential oils are diluted since in the base form they are highly volatile and evaporate if no additional solvents are added to reduce their volatility. Another reason for using base oils is that, they provide appropriate amounts of lather making capabilities to a cosmetic product. Without this, the end product will not create enough lather.

Specialty oils are base oils that have a particular aroma associated with them. They provide crucial nutrient components like tocotrienol, a part of the vitamin-E family, oleic acid, linoleic acid, and other valuable fatty acids.
