Asteria Apothecary
Avocado Oil | Virgin
Avocado Oil | Virgin
Traditionally used for its extremely nourishing, softening, and restorative properties. Virgin avocado oil is rich in vitamin E, fatty acids, and carotenoids. It is an exceptional nourishing, moisturizing, and protective ingredient. Softening and toning, it also acts efficiently against skin ageing and brings shine to the hair. Its effect helps repair damaged skin, due to sun exposure for instance.
Avocado oil has a high sterol (10%) content that is valuable for arthritic pain. It may also be beneficial for post-menopausal skin that is prone to aging. Include it in preparations to restore nutrients in the skin for those living in low-sun conditions. As opposed to unrefined avocado oil which is a dark green in color, refined avocado oil is yellow with less odor. It is acceptable for use in cosmetic preparations, but should not be ingested.
